Imagine that the entire universe exists inside your head. All of the expanse “out there” exists “in here.” Two parallel universes. Next, imagine on this planet in this universe — the innocence of a young child in the nascent period of their life. In this moment existing in an unselfconscious way… sitting, legs outstretched, feet rocking and kicking, while the earth rotates at approximately 790 miles an hour. Think about the improbability of life in the universe and how we all grow up on this rotating earth, orbiting the sun, spiraling through space.
Can this notion shift our perception of our place on the planet? If only for a moment?
