ROYAL CARIBBEAN

Within the lobby of the new Royal Caribbean Corporate Headquarters, Whirlwind Creative, in partnership with G&S Business Communications  developed a range of concept designs to communicate the company’s heritage and “DNA.”

Two-story lobby with upper level balcony, is surrounded on the south, east and north sides with glass walls and periodic columns. A curving back wall spans the full length of the lobby from the grand stairs on the left, behind the curving desk in the center, to the waiting area on the right.

Creative brief included:

• Waiting area exhibits intended for employees, recruits, contractors, VIPs, government officials, and others.

• Provide an engaging historical glimpse into the founding of a company, which started in a trailer in Key Biscayne, and today is one of the world’s largest cruise lines, operating six distinctive brands throughout the world.

• Present the history of RC using media, artifacts, memorabilia and other ephemera (captioned with interesting narrative) in a lobby display highlighting the milestones and innovations of RC over the last 50 years.

• Capture the character of a burgeoning industry, including exhibit showcasing a company poised to meet the continuing expectations of a growing audience (market) for a quality, cruise line experience.
