PASSING TIME

We are surrounded by human-made structures and things, newer and older. They are evidence that we are/were here, past and present and maybe into the future. Imagine for a moment a world in which the only evidence of our physical selves is our footprints in the sand.

Measuring time, as well as our perception of time, varies. It can be measured in geological, archaeological, or historical time. It can be a life-span of living creatures. It can be measured in years, seasons, months, days, minutes and seconds. Imagine a world in which we measure and perceive time by generations, seasons, the rising and setting of the sun… Or to meditate and perfect the ability to arrest time, to step out of its current, and to be present in the emptiness of the moment.

This short video captures a brief moment in which our presence is seen and felt “in a glimpse” erased by passing time.
