LIGHTOLIER CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS

The multi-media light wall for Lightolier celebrates and illustrates changes in technology, manufacturing, materials and products, and life style spanning 100 years. At the entrance to the 5,000 sq. ft. tech center, Lightolier’s premiere national showroom, the wall comes to life through light, sound and animation that bedazzles the visitor.

Divided into 7 light rays, each case presents an array of products from the 7 eras profiled in the Lightolier Centennial publication. From a narrow beam highlighting 10 to 15 years in the company’s history, the show slowly unfolds to reveal a full array of history, products and effects.

The overhead LCD screens are mounted in accessible hinged panels for servicing, and are equipped with incandescent and LED lighting from above, edge lit frosted acrylic, lamps and historical fixtures that become illuminated through a programmed sequence. Concealed in the ceiling is a motion control light that projects onto a sculptural sphere, synchronized with the case lighting, creating the illusion of spherical shape in motion.
