For the opening of the IMAX Theater at the Tennessee State Aquarium, Whirlwind worked in collaboration with the project architect to design and produce a large series of overhead panels in the colonnade of the theater entrance. These large overhead transparencies, entitled Environmental Overviews, are panoramic images that pay tribute to the rich diversity of biomes of the planet.

In the queuing area Whirlwind designed a series of posters, dramatizing the scale, power and beauty of the medium.
