Showcasing work from “The Golden Age of Furniture” in the Connecticut Valley from 1750 – 1800, this exhibit featured masterworks—high chests, dressing tables, candle stands, secretaries and side chairs—made by Eliphalet Chapin and his contemporaries.

The exhibit traveled to three locations beyond the Connecticut Historical Society: The Winterthur Museum, Colonial Williamsburg and the Peabody Essex Museum.
